Sister Frances Batson, Pastor, Leeds First Congregational Holiness Church
I was born and raised in Leeds, Ala. I married Thomas Batson in Feb 1969. God has blessed us with
wonderful children and grandchildren.
I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior in April, 1970, and received the Baptism of
the Holy Ghost days later, and what an experience! I joined Leeds First Congregational
Holiness Church in 1971, where I have been a member for 37 years. I love the Lord so much
all I wanted to do was to work for Him in what ever area he wanted me to be.
The Lord called me to teach the young adult class for two years. The Lord then called me
to teach primary class for one year. I was then called by The Lord to serve as Womens Ministry
President from 1974-1981. In 1987, I was called by the Lord to serve as Associate Pastor,
serving as Associate Pastor until 1994. In 1995, God called me to be Pastor of Leeds First
Congregational Holiness Church.
God has given me such a love & compassion for people. God has blessed me with a wonderful
congregation. Every one is welcome to come and visit and feel the love of Jesus Christ.
